All-on-4 Dental Implants
Restorative dentistry
A full arch of teeth, supported by just four implants
All-on-4 is a proven technique for replacing an entire arch of teeth using only four strategically placed implants. It offers a fixed, permanent solution for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth — with significantly better function, comfort and aesthetics than traditional dentures.
Why All-on-4
How All-on-4 compares to traditional dentures
The All-on-4 technique was pioneered by Dr Paulo Malo in Portugal using the Nobel Bio-Care implant system and has since transformed the lives of thousands of patients worldwide. Where traditional full dentures can restrict bite force, affect speech and require ongoing adjustments, All-on-4 is fixed in place — it does not come out, does not move, and functions like natural teeth.
Fixed and permanent
All-on-4 is permanently anchored to your jaw. No removal, no adhesives, no movement.
Full bite force restored
Eat what you want without restriction. All-on-4 restores near-normal chewing efficiency.
Natural appearance
The final teeth are custom-made to look completely natural and complement your facial structure.
Preserves jawbone
The implants stimulate the jawbone, preventing the bone loss and facial collapse that occurs with dentures over time.
The process
All-on-4 treatment in three phases
Phase 1
Initial consultation (30 mins) — assessment and treatment planning
Secondary consultation (30 mins) — photos, impressions and lab involvement
Surgery — tooth removal and All-on-4 implant placement (approx. 1.5 hours per arch)
2–3 days later — provisional acrylic teeth are fitted
Wait 3–4 months for osseointegration (bone bonding to implants)
Phase 2
Healing is confirmed and the acrylic teeth are refined or replaced to ensure a comfortable long-term fit. For most patients treatment is complete at this stage.
Phase 3 (optional)
For patients requiring maximum durability, the acrylic teeth can be upgraded to zirconium teeth on a titanium bar — the strongest and most aesthetic option available. This is not required for everyone and is discussed at your consultation.
Other options
Implant overdenture — a more affordable alternative
In certain cases, two implants supporting a removable overdenture can be a suitable alternative to All-on-4. While not fixed, it significantly improves stability and comfort over a traditional full denture, and can reduce treatment costs considerably. Your dentist will discuss whether this option is appropriate for your case.
Cost
