The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is an Australian Government program that gives eligible families up to $1,158 in free dental benefits for children aged 0–17 years. The benefit is spread across two consecutive calendar years.

Is My Child Eligible for CDBS?
Your child is eligible if they meet all three criteria below in the same calendar year:
- ✔Enrolled in Medicare
Your child has an active Medicare card. - ✔Aged 0–17
Your child is between 0 and 17 years old for at least one day during the year. - ✔Eligible government payment
Your family receives Family Tax Benefit Part A or another eligible Australian Government payment at any point in the year.

How the $1,158 Benefit Works
The $1,158 is available across two consecutive calendar years, starting in the year your child:
- First becomes eligible for CDBS, and
